Boost engagement with LinkedIn personal profile post comments in the Smart Inbox

Monitor comments on personal LinkedIn posts and drive more and better engagement. You'll start to see personal comments appear in your Smart Inbox for any personal profiles connected to your Sprout account. Filtering on your LinkedIn messages in the Smart Inbox now shows both Company and Personal comments.

Maintain tags with ease with the new Tag Management UI

For Professional & Advanced Plans: The overall experience and efficiency of managing tags is now easier than ever with the updated Tag Management UI. Now you can quickly view your Campaign tags, Tags and Archived tags in a list format and take precise actions to edit, archive and delete. Select your desired Group from the dropdown to cull down the list and focus on all the tags for a specific Group.

Note: Your Tag Management screen will automatically update when this feature is live for your account.

Understand message rejection reasoning directly when replying in Sprout

For Professional & Advanced Plans: Previously, reply rejections and any associated notes weren't visible to agents working in the Salesforce reply component or when viewing message details in the Smart Inbox. You'd only see this information via the Notifications Drawer or email.

Now you can see reasoning and details when an approver rejects a reply directly when responding to messages, so you can comment inline, rather than creating additional workflows that take you out of the reply component or the Smart Inbox.

Note: The message reply window in Salesforce and Sprout will automatically update when this feature is live for your account.

Keep your Inbox organized with the ability to delete additional private messages from Sprout

Now you can delete private messages from Instagram, WhatsApp and Google's Business Messages from Sprout. Just like deleting Facebook PMs, you can now clear out old, outdated messages in the Smart Inbox. Note that deleting a message from Sprout does NOT remove it from the native network.

X/Twitter API changes

X (formerly known as Twitter) recently announced changes to their API that affect all third-party apps like Sprout. As a result, beginning on September 19 you'll see the following changes in Sprout:

Publishing

  • In order to mention users, you need to enter the full X profile name in Compose rather than searching for it.
  • You can’t include locations on your X posts.

Engagement

  • In order to tag users in the Smart Inbox, you need to enter the full X profile name rather than searching for it.
  • You can’t access the Mentions tab for X messages in the Smart Inbox when replying in the reply layer.
  • Twitter Keyword Search and Twitter People search aren’t accessible in the Smart Inbox. Note that this does NOT impact Brand Keywords.

Reporting

  • In order to add competitors to competitor reports, you need to enter the full X profile name rather than searching for it.

Listening

  • In order to add users to your Queries, you need to enter the full X profile name rather than searching for it.
  • You can no longer access Twitter search in Listening. You can still add X as a source in your Listening Queries.

Choose the language that works for you with the language setting in Employee Advocacy

Employee Advocacy users can now select English, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese as their preferred language in Personal Settings or when creating an account. Users can choose their language, even if it's different from the organization-wide language.
