Listening Topic Highlights in the Sprout Dashboard
Stay on top of critical conversation trends without spending hours sifting through raw data. Listening Highlights brings automated, AI-powered intelligence directly to your Sprout Dashboard, giving you an immediate summary of meaningful shifts across your Social Listening topics the moment you start your day.
Each day, Sprout scans your active topics for significant anomalies—including spikes in conversation volume, shifts toward positive or negative sentiment, emerging keywords, and trending entities. When a notable change is detected, Sprout investigates the underlying messages and surfaces up to three daily highlight cards within your Sprout Dashboard that explain what changed and why it matters to your brand.
From each card, you can take immediate action to investigate further. Click "Follow up with Trellis" to explore the findings conversationally, or select "View in Topic" to dive into the Topic Insights Report with the relevant date range and messages pre-filtered.
Listening Highlights is available automatically for all customers with the Social Listening add-on and at least one active topic. Check out this article for more information!

Sprout Public API Rate Limit Enforcement
Starting November 3, 2026, Sprout now consistently enforces the Sprout Public API rate limit of 60 requests per minute. With this update, the limit is applied collectively to your account regardless of which or how many servers communicate with the API. This helps keep the Sprout platform fast and reliable for everyone, as more teams use the API to power business workflows and connect AI tools.
We've added rate limit headers to API responses, so your team can see how much of your limit is left and adjust your request pacing before you hit it. If your integration sends more than 60 requests in a minute, the extra requests will get a ‘429 Too Many Requests’ response.
To avoid interruption, spread your requests evenly over time instead of sending large bursts at once. Check out this article for more information.
