LinkedIn Member Page @Mentions in Smart Inbox

Table of Contents

Overview

LinkedIn Member Page @Mentions in the Smart Inbox lets you see and respond to @mentions of your connected LinkedIn personal (member) profiles. When another LinkedIn user tags one of your managed personal profiles in a post or comment, that mention appears in your Smart Inbox as a new message type — giving you full visibility without switching to LinkedIn natively.

This feature is available on Standard, Professional, Advanced, and Enterprise plans for customers with LinkedIn personal profiles connected in Sprout. It is available on both USDC and EUDC datacenters.

What You Can Do

  • Monitor mentions: See when your connected LinkedIn personal profiles are tagged in posts or comments by other users.
  • Reply directly: Respond to post mentions and comment mentions from within the Smart Inbox.
  • Create cases: Convert LinkedIn member mentions into cases for tracking and follow-up.
  • Apply automated rules: Use auto-tag, auto-assign, and other automated rules on LinkedIn member mentions, just like other message types.
  • Track in reports: LinkedIn member @mentions contribute to the Inbox Activity Report, Inbox Team Report, and Case Management Report.
  • Access via public API: LinkedIn member mentions are available through Sprout's public API.

How to Use

LinkedIn member @mentions appear automatically in the Smart Inbox for any connected LinkedIn personal profile. No additional setup or reconnection is required.

To view LinkedIn member @mentions specifically, use the message type filter in the Smart Inbox and select the LinkedIn Member Mentions filter for your connected personal profile.

To reply to a mention, open the message in the Smart Inbox and compose your response. For post mentions, your reply will appear as a comment on the original post. For comment mentions, your reply will appear as a threaded reply to the comment.
