New Instagram Profile Validation for Collab Invites & Tagging in Compose
Eliminate publishing failures and schedule with confidence! Sprout now provides instant feedback when you tag Instagram profiles or attempt to invite collaborators, ensuring your post is eligible for publishing before you schedule or submit.
Sprout now validates Instagram handles in real-time to prevent post failures caused by ineligible accounts, such as private or age-restricted profiles. If a selected handle cannot be tagged or invited as a collaborator, you'll receive an instant alert prompting you to update the profile before you are able to move forward with scheduling or publishing in Sprout.

Listening: AI Query Builder with Trellis
You can now create Listening Topics using natural language. Instead of manually building keyword queries in the Query Builder, describe what you want to listen for in your own words — and Sprout's AI will generate a structured query for you, complete with keyword include and exclude groups.
This feature is available in the Query Builder and Trellis Chat for all single-query Topic types, including Brand Health, Industry Insights, Campaign Analysis, and Event Monitoring. Note: Competitive Analysis Topics are not supported at this time.
The AI-generated query appears directly in your Query Builder, where you can review, refine, and preview it before starting to listen. Learn more here.

Automated User Management with SCIM for Okta & Entra ID
Managing user accounts, assigning permissions, and offboarding team members across enterprise tools shouldn’t require duplicate manual effort. We’re excited to announce that System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) for Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) is now Generally Available!
With SCIM enabled, your Identity Provider (IdP) becomes the single source of truth for your Sprout Social user management. Sprout automatically provisions new users, updates roles as team responsibilities change, and deactivates access when users leave — removing the need for manual account administration in Sprout.

Recommend Tags by AI Assist in Compose
We're introducing Recommend Tags by AI Assist in the Compose window to help you tag content faster and more consistently!
When you draft a post, Sprout now analyzes your caption and recommends the most relevant tags from your existing taxonomy beneath the tag input field. Simply click a recommended tag to apply it!
Recommend Tags uses AI and your historical tagging patterns to surface recommendations ranked by confidence, so the most relevant options appear first.

Managing complex tag libraries just got easier. You can now build multi-level tag hierarchies up to seven levels deep in Sprout Social—giving your organization a flexible, structured taxonomy that reflects how your teams actually work.

- Multi-Level Taxonomies: Move beyond flat tag lists. Structure tags by brand, region, campaign, product line, care workflow, or audience segment with up to 7 nested sub-collections.
- Tag in Context Across Sprout: Seamlessly browse, search, and apply tags within your collection hierarchy across the Smart Inbox, Compose, Automated Rules, Macros, Feeds, and Post Performance. Hovering over any tag reveals its full collection path (e.g., Bakeries > Flavors > Gluten-Free).
- Targeted Reporting & Filtering: Drill down into specific collection levels across report filters and inbox views to evaluate performance data for distinct sub-categories.
- Full Taxonomy Export: Export your entire tag hierarchy to CSV with complete collection paths for easy sharing, auditing, or team alignment.
