Universal Right Bar
No matter if you're perusing your Sprout Social Dashboard or deep in your Content Calendar, the universal right bar persists throughout the app for quick access to Compose and other tools. The universal right bar makes it easy to quickly respond to team conversations, grab a link to one of your reports, reconnect a profile on-the-fly or get help if you need it.
This article covers each section of the universal right bar including:
- Compose
- Notifications
- Team Conversations
- Shared Links
- Connect a Profile
- Twitter Search
- Help Center
- Keyboard shortcuts
- Support & Resources
Compose
With quick access to Compose anywhere in the Sprout platform, you'll never miss an opportunity to create a new post, draft post or submit a post for approval. The Compose icon persists throughout the app, so you can Compose from anywhere. Learn more about Compose with this separate overview.
Notifications
Notifications keep you informed about what's going on in your Sprout account. In the Notifications tab you'll get updates about Failed Posts, Listening Spike Alerts and any other notifications you customized to appear. Click on a Failed Post notification to jump to that specific post to take action.
In the Issues tab, you'll see a rundown of any of your profiles that have become disconnected. Don't worry! These disconnections happen for a lot of different reasons. Click the Learn More dropdown to reauthorize or reconnect a profile. Learn more about reconnecting profiles with this separate overview.
Additionally, click to manage your Notification Preferences. Clicking
takes you to your Notification Settings where you can select what notifications you want to appear or not appear in the right bar.
Team Conversations
Conversations are a great way to collaborate directly in Sprout. Give feedback on posts, provide next steps on messages or even chat with a team member about interesting messages in Listening. The fly out menu shows the latest internal team messages. Click on a message to jump into the conversation. If you haven't started using Conversations yet, check out this overview.
Note: If you haven't used Conversations yet, you'll see a Create a Draft button. This starts a draft of an internal conversation to a team member, not a Draft post.
Shared Links
Shared Links are where you can access any links you created to your publishing calendars or to your reports for your stakeholders. You can quickly share links that you created and get a preview on-the-fly of what your reports or calendars contain. Learn more about creating Shared Links with this overview.
Connect a Profile
This is a quick way to add in any of your social profiles to Sprout, without navigating through Account and settings. Learn more about connecting profiles here.
Note: If you need to reconnect or reauthorize a profile that became disconnected, do not use this functionality. Instead, click on the issue directly in the Notifications section.
Twitter Search
Twitter Search is a quick way to search for People or Keywords so you can find conversations to join and people to engage with. Think of Twitter Search as Listening lite. To learn more about Twitter searches, see this overview.
Note: This search box doesn't search the Sprout app. Instead, it spins up a Twitter search as a part of the Sprout Listening suite.
Help Center
Stumped? Running into issues? Clickto access the Sprout Help Center. If you're reading this article, you're already here.
Keyboard shortcuts
Keyboard shortcuts are great to use to increase efficiency when using Sprout. Clickto open the menu of keyboard shortcuts that you can use.
