FAQs
My existing Listening Topics automatically began collecting TikTok data, how did this happen?

For a message to be collected through Connected Profiles:
- It must be a TikTok account Business Account.
- The post must be public.

- The post or comments were posted within the past 90 days.

How does this differ from what is supported in the Smart Inbox?
There is some overlap with what is supported in the Smart Inbox. The Smart Inbox today only captures comments on videos posted by the Connected Profile. Listening collects those as well as @ mentions of the Connected Profile.
Do all Listening Topic Templates Support Connected Profiles?
No, the Competitive Analysis Template type does not support selecting Connected Profiles as a source in Query Builder. Using the Brand Health template is best suited for conversations specific to your own brand.
Can I attach multiple LinkedIn pages?
Yes. You can attach as many owned LinkedIn profiles to your group as you’d like.
Why can’t I query the entire LinkedIn network?
This is a network API limitation. LinkedIn only allows Sprout to query the comments and mentions associated with your connected Business profiles.
What data backfills are available for LinkedIn upon topic creation?
Sprout will backfill LinkedIn data for 30 days.
What data backfills are available for Facebook and Instagram upon topic creation?
Sprout will backfill Facebook and Instagram data for 30 days.
If I pull in a mix of mentions and comments on those mentions into my topic, will they be threaded in the message layer?
No. Like other networks these metrics won't be connected to each other in Sprout. However, you can click on the message to view it on LinkedIn itself to see more message context.
What if I do not want Facebook and Instagram Connected Sources data in my Topic, but I want TikTok or LinkedIn Connected Source Data?
If you have Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, or LinkedIn profiles connected, all data from these available Connected Sources will go into your Topic when you select Connected Sources in Query Builder. If you want to remove any of these specific Connected Profiles, you can do so in the Sources Filter within the Topic.
Am I going to see my own posts comments on my page now with this Connected Profile data?
No, your own posts and comments are not included in your Connected Profile data. You may still get this data in your Topic if it matches your query with the public sources (ex. If you include your Facebook page as a public source, and one of your posts on your Facebook page matches your query, it will show up in your Topic from the public data).
What happens if I do not have view permissions to a Facebook or Instagram profile, but I have Connected Profiles selected as a source in my Topic?
If you do not have view permissions to a profile, you will not see that profile or it’s data in the Topic. If someone else in your group has permissions to that profile, they will see that profile and it’s data in the Topic.
