How do I enable Dark Mode?
Sprout Social offers three theme options for the web app so you can customize your visual experience. You can switch between themes at any time from your Personal Settings — your choice applies only to your account and doesn't affect other users on your team.
Note: Theme settings are available to subscribers only. Trial accounts do not have access to Dark Mode or System Theme.
Web app theme options
Theme | What it does |

How to change your theme
Click your initials in the bottom-left corner of Sprout.
Select Account & Settings.
In the left navigation, click Personal Settings.
Under App Preferences, find the App Theme dropdown.
Select Dark, Light, or System.
Click Save.
Your theme updates immediately throughout the Sprout web app.
Using Dark Mode on mobile
Theme settings in the Sprout web app and mobile app are separate — changing one does not change the other.
iOS: The Sprout iOS app supports Dark Mode via your device's system settings. To enable it:
Open your iPhone or iPad's Settings.
Tap Display & Brightness.
Under Appearance, select Dark.
The Sprout iOS app will automatically switch to Dark Mode. You do not need to change anything within the Sprout app itself.
Android: Dark Mode is not currently available for the Sprout Android app.
FAQ
Does my Dark Mode setting apply to my whole team?
No. Theme settings are personal — each user on your team can set their own preference independently. Account Owners and Admins cannot apply a theme setting to all users.
Why don't I see an App Theme option in my Personal Settings?
The App Theme dropdown is only available to subscribers. If you're on a trial, you'll need to upgrade to access Dark Mode.
Will my web app theme setting carry over to the mobile app?
No. Web and mobile theme settings are independent. Change your mobile theme via your device's Display & Brightness settings (iOS only).
I enabled System Theme — why does Sprout look different than expected?
System Theme mirrors your operating system's current appearance. If your OS is set to automatically switch between Light and Dark based on time of day, Sprout will follow suit. Check your device's Display settings to confirm your current OS theme.
Can I use Dark Mode in the Sprout mobile app on Android?
Not at this time. Dark Mode for Android is not currently available.
