Trellis Plus: Shared Credits

Table of Contents

Overview

Trellis Plus: Shared Credits is currently in Beta and available only to select customers. Features and functionality may change as the product continues to evolve through future releases.

Trellis Plus: Shared Credits gives your account one shared pool of Trellis credits that everyone on your team can use. It's built for organizations rolling out Trellis to many people, and for teams using Trellis-powered workflows. You don't need to buy and assign a Trellis Plus seat for each person. Your whole account draws from the same shared balance.

Trellis Plus comes in two forms: Individual Credits, where seats are purchased and assigned to specific users, and Shared Credits. Both give you extended access to Trellis Chat and Trellis Studio. Shared Credits is also required to use Trellis in Workflows, such as generating AI replies automatically, and Workflows require the Advanced plan. An account uses one model at a time.. The only difference is how credits are allocated. An account uses one model or the other, never both at the same time.

What you can do

With Trellis Plus: Shared Credits, every user keeps their 100 free Trellis credits each month, and anyone on your account can keep using Trellis from the shared pool once their free credits run out. Workflows that use Trellis to generate AI replies draw from the shared pool. Admins can see the pool size and how much has been used this billing period in AI Settings, and everyone is notified as the pool gets close to its limit.

How to use

How your credits are used

When you use Trellis Chat or Trellis Studio, Trellis uses your own 100 free monthly credits first. Once those are used, Trellis draws from your account's shared pool. Scheduled skills that you set up in Trellis Studio follow the same order: your own credits first, then the shared pool. Workflows that generate AI replies draw from the shared pool directly.

Check your usage

Go to Settings, then Global Features, then AI Settings. Everyone can see the Your Trellis credits section, which shows how many of their 100 free credits they've used and how many shared credits they've used. Account Owners and users with billing permissions also see the shared credits section, which shows the size of the pool, how much the account has used this billing period, and when the data was last updated.

Notices as your pool fills up

When your account has used 80% of its shared credits, you'll see a warning in Trellis Chat, Trellis Studio, Workflows, and AI Settings. Additionally, users with manage_billing permission will be emailed as Shared Credits use 80% usage.

You'll see another notice at 100%. If your account reaches its limit, credit-consuming Trellis actions are paused until your credits reset on the same day of the month your contract or billing period started, even if you’re billed annually. Unused credits don’t roll over. Users without billing permissions see a message with their Account Owner's name and email so they know who to contact. Account Owners and users with billing permissions see a Contact Sales button, which sends a request to the Sprout Sales team. Shared credits reset every month, on the same day of the month your contract or billing period started, even if you’re billed annually. Unused credits don’t roll over.

Get more shared credits

Trellis Plus: Shared Credits is purchased through Sprout's Sales team in blocks of 1,000 credits per month. It isn't available to buy in-app. To add credits, click Contact Sales in AI Settings or in a notice banner, or reach out to your account team.
