Want to save hours on content planning and keep your stakeholders aligned without extra meetings? I'm Rachel, and in this Sprout Bites video, I'm going to show you how to build, drag and drop, and share a high-impact content calendar that actually saves you time.
We have all these options for different views. You can filter based on profile, post type, or any tagged content. You can also zoom in on the list view or the week view, and there's a compact or expanded view as well.
You can get all your notes and posts scheduled in one place. Maybe there are some internal reminders you want to toss in, or maybe you want to note where all your upcoming holidays are. You can even color-code your notes internally if you have different colors that match different types of notes. And if you have an ongoing campaign spread across multiple days, you can add notes for the whole date range that it covers.
Great! Now I'm ready to start scheduling my posts. I can click Schedule right from the day I want the post to go out. Let's say I'm trying to schedule my Valentine's Day post. I can schedule to all the networks I want, add my caption and photos, and then get everything else set up for approval workflows, tags, date, optimal times, and more. Then we're good to submit or schedule, and the post will show up on my calendar.
Next, let's say I'm planning an "Adopt Don't Shop" post on the 23rd. I'll get it ready to go, with any tags, approval workflow, and timing set up to schedule. Then someone reaches out and says we need to move this over, and it would be better on the 25th. Easy peasy! I can just drag and drop it to whatever day is the new scheduled publish date.
Once I have my calendar ready to go, you're welcome to share it with anybody who wants to be kept in the loop, whether they have a user seat or not. I like going over to the list view for more detail, and then selecting the Share option. I can download or send a PDF to any email. You can also create a shareable link for anyone who needs to be kept in the loop but doesn't have a user seat, so you don't have to send updates as often. I can give them, let's say, the last 30 days and the next 30 days with the dynamic date range enabled, and then they can always click on this link and see updates to the calendar.
All right, now you're ready to build a calendar that keeps your team aligned and your content on track. Jump into your Sprout account today and try out these calendar views for yourself. Thanks so much!
