Using Reddit in Sprout Social | Sprout Bites

Hi, I'm Lisa. In this Sprout Bites video, I'll show you how to streamline your Reddit workflow. You'll save time, respond to feedback faster, and easily capture valuable insights directly within your Smart Inbox.
Before we jump into the Smart Inbox, though, we need to ensure your Reddit integration is ready. You'll need to connect your user profile plus any subreddits you want to monitor. This will be a two-part setup — think of your user profile as the key and the subreddit as the door. You have to have both linked to actually join the conversation.
To do this, go into Settings, then Groups and Social Profiles. Click Connect a Profile, go down to Reddit, and click Connect — you'll connect your user profile first. Once that's done, come back in, click Connect Subreddit, and add any subreddits you'd like to monitor on the account. Once that's been successfully done, you'll notice the connected green light on this page.
From here, we can head over to the Smart Inbox to see where the magic happens. As you explore Reddit in the Smart Inbox, you'll notice the standard features you know and love combined with some new ones unique to Reddit. For example, if you go up to Sources, you'll notice you can filter by your subreddit. You also have the ability to upvote directly from the Sprout platform. If you click the three dots, you have the ability to hide a particular comment on Reddit, and you can also ban a specific user from that subreddit. If you click the reply option to see the thread itself, you can click the three dots on the post itself and either hide it on Reddit or delete it altogether.
I also want to quickly point out that features like response classification, sentiment, and message intent are available on the Advanced plan. If you're using that plan, you'll also have the ability to apply macros and automated rules to your Reddit messages. For all Sprout plans, don't forget to check out the Reddit Smart Inbox Insights — they're available now in the reporting area under Inbox Activity or Case Management.
Ultimately, bringing Reddit into your Smart Inbox transforms how you work. You aren't just reading messages anymore — you're cutting through the noise to act on the insights that matter right when they happen.
