Hey everyone, my name is Jack and today I'm excited to walk you through tag reporting in this Sprout Bites video. The Tag Performance report allows us to quantitatively measure the number of outbound posts we're tagging as well as the number of inbound posts receiving tags. From the overview, we can get a quick view over a given time period of how many outbound posts were published with tags, how many sent messages were tagged, what types of inbound messages were tagged, and what the overall performance of those tagged posts looked like. So if you want to understand how certain tags performed over time or how things are looking from a campaign perspective, the Tag Performance report is the place to go. Having tag collections set up makes it easy to organize your tags — you can filter for a specific set of tags rather than viewing all of them at once. From the Trends view, you can see where you were posting with specific tags and what the outbound trends looked like, as well as how many messages were received from an inbound perspective. Were there any spikes that might indicate a high-volume situation? Was there a campaign posted on a specific day that drove a high return in owned comments? From the Tags view, you'll see the metrics associated with each tagged post for both outbound and inbound. For a specific set of publishing tags — like Sprout Pets — you can see which outbound posts drew engagement, views, and impressions, as well as your sent and received message counts. You can also click the Used With Tags view to see how many other tags were applied alongside a specific tag. For example, of the 76 published posts tagged with Sprout Pets, 28 also received the Retail Pet tag. You can then filter by engagement rate to see which tag combinations generated the highest return when paired with the Sprout Pets tag. When you're working through the Smart Inbox, I highly recommend using tags to qualify the types of messages you're receiving, and using tags on your outbound posts as well — whether for campaign reporting or tracking a specific content type. All of that data rolls into the Tag Performance report where you can see the associated metrics. Highly recommend leveraging tags and the Tag Performance report.
