Have you ever scheduled an Instagram or TikTok post and when the time came, it seemed to have disappeared? My name is Bethany and in this Sprout Bites video, we'll go over why that happens and how to prevent it. The most common culprit is Mobile Publishing. While composing your post, you might have selected your name under the Mobile Publishing section in the Compose window. That option tells Sprout not to autopublish, but instead sends a push notification to your phone when it's time to post. It's actually perfect if you want to add finishing touches like music, stickers, or trending audio directly in the native app. But if you weren't planning to post manually, that's where things go wrong — the post never goes live unless you tap Publish from your phone. So before you schedule, give the Mobile Publishing section a quick glance. If you want Sprout to publish automatically, leave it blank. If you plan to post from your phone, select your name. That simple check keeps your content calendar running smoothly — no disappearing posts, no last-minute confusion. And if you do want to use Mobile Publishing, head to our Help Center, where there's a short video that walks you through how it works step by step.
