Hey there, I'm Bethany and I'm going to cover the basics of composing a post in this Sprout Bites video. Whether you're sharing a quick update or launching a campaign, Sprout makes it simple to craft and publish your message across every network from one place. To begin, click the Compose button in the upper right corner of your screen. This opens the post composer where you can start crafting your message. First, choose the profile or profiles you want to publish to. Then, in the main text box, go ahead and write your post. As you're composing, take a look at the right side of the screen — you'll see a live preview of how your post will appear on each of the selected social networks, helping you make sure everything looks just the way you want it to. If you need to customize your posts for individual networks, click the Customize Post Per Network button. You can then click the network tab above the draft post to switch between network views and edit the text, images, and videos for each network. For example, you can upload an image or video before customizing per network, and then once in customized mode, crop that media in each tab to the optimal dimensions for each network. Once you're happy with your content, add tags to help you and your team stay organized. Then it's time to schedule. You can select Immediately to post right now, or schedule it by selecting the date and time you'd like it to go live. When everything's set, click Schedule. Your post will then appear on your publishing calendar, giving you a clear view of what's scheduled and when it's going out. Give it a try — log into Sprout and publish your next post.
