How do I tag Instagram photos and Reels in Sprout?

Tagging Photos in Sprout

You can tag brands, influencers or give UGC credit through photo tags directly from Sprout’s desktop app.

To tag accounts in your Instagram photos:

  1. Navigate to Compose.
  2. Choose the Instagram profile you want to publish to.
  3. Attach your photo.
  4. Click image6.png in the top-right corner of your attached photo.
  5. Click Tag Image. The Tag Image popup appears.

  6. Click into the photo, and then enter the Instagram profile you want to tag. Note that you can't search for usernames or tag private profiles. You can tag usernames in each photo you include in a post, up to 10 photos.

  7. Click Save Tags.

Tagging Photo Reels is much like tagging image posts today.

  1. In Compose, upload a single video.
  2. On the thumbnail, click on Tag People and Products.
  3. In the open modal, you’ll see 2 tabs for People & Product Tagging.
    1. Add up to 20 tags.
  4. Note that Reels do not support tagging specific x,y coordinates. You will have to search for and select your tags which will appear in the lower left-hand corner of your Reel.
  5. Navigate to post preview to see your applied tags 

Note: If both user and product tags are selected, only product tags appear on preview.
