Q: I refreshed the page and my summary is gone. What happened?
A: Summaries are generated at the user level and are not automatically saved or cached. To save your summary, please export it using the PDF or static shared link options. To generate a new summary, click the "Generate Insights" button in the Analyze by AI Assist widget.
Q: I have more than 10 messages of total volume in my Topic, but I can't generate a summary. Why?
A: It's possible you have fewer than 10 messages that are not Share messages. Try using the 'Messages' and 'Mentions' filters in the Message Type filter at the top of the page to exclude Share messages, and then try generating the summary again. If you still meet the volume requirement and the summary won't generate, please try again later or contact our support team.
Q: I want to update the summary in my Topic. How can I refresh it?
A: The regenerate button will appear in the Analyze by AI Assist widget when the summary is out of date. You can force a new summary generation by updating the date filter or applying a different top-level filter (Sources, Sentiment, Message Type, etc.) in the Topic.
Q: Can I export these summaries?
A: Yes! You can export summaries via PDF and static shared links. Please note that summaries are only included on static exports; they will not be included on scheduled PDF deliveries or dynamic shared links.
Q: My summary contained explicit words. Is that normal? Can I remove them?
A: The summary reflects the messages in your Topic. If you have not used Query Builder to filter out explicit content from your Topic, those messages may be included in the summary. To give you the most accurate insight into the conversation, we do not filter out explicit content from the summaries if it is present in your Topic data.
Q: What happens if two people are in the same Topic generating summaries at the same time?
A: They will see similar but slightly different summaries, as the summaries are generated individually for each user within the Topic.
Q: Why are my summaries taking a long time to load?
A: We prioritize accuracy, which results in a slightly higher latency. It typically takes between 30–60 seconds to generate your summary, occasionally taking up to 90 seconds. While summaries are loading, feel free to navigate to other Topic tabs and data while the summary loads, moving away from the Conversation tab will not interrupt the process.
Q: What about the old Analyze by AI Assist feature?
A: The old comparison bullets Analyze by AI Assist feature is being retired with this release. This new summary feature replaces it. Note that users who have the OpenAI integration disabled in their settings will not be able to access the new feature unless they enable the integration. The old version will be removed from all accounts with this release.
Q: What if my app language isn't English?
A: The summaries will display in the language set for your app in your settings, regardless of the language of the input messages. If the AI translation fails, the summaries may default to English.
