Key Highlights:

  • Tailor Your Data: Define network-specific or cross-network formulas that matter most to your business.
  • Flexible Creation: Create up to 100 custom metrics per customer account (50 shared account-level metrics and 50 group-level metrics).
  • Simple Formulas: Use existing post-level metrics with basic arithmetic to create your custom calculations.

Changes to X Video Uploads in Sprout Social

X (formerly Twitter) is updating its API, which is leading to changes in video upload specifications.

What's Changing?

  • "Pro Media" is Retired: The "Pro Media" profile type and its associated features (like the special "Play" icon, direct upload to the X Media Library, and 10-minute/1GB video limits) are being retired by X.
  • New Video Limits for Premium Users: Users with an X Basic, Premium or Premium+ subscription tier can now upload videos up to 6 hours long and 2 GB in size.
  • Verification Status Visible: You will now see the X verification status (Basic, Premium, or Premium+) displayed next to profiles in the profile picker.
  • Custom Thumbnails for all Account Types: All users will now be able to upload custom thumbnails alongside their videos.

If you previously used "Pro Media" features, you will now need to upgrade to X Basic, Premium or Premium+ to continue accessing extended video upload capabilities. Learn More Here.
