ChatGPT Connection FAQs

The ChatGPT connection makes it easier to unlock insights from your Sprout publishing data. Instead of pulling reports or manually comparing campaigns, you can ask ChatGPT natural language questions about your content performance and receive quick, contextual answers.

Who can set up the connection?

  • To set up the initial connection, you must be an Admin for both your ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Enterprise account and your Sprout Social account.
    • Note: If the Sprout Admin who set up the connection is removed, the connection will stop working.

Who can use the connection after it's set up?

  • Any licensed Sprout Social user on a Professional, Advanced, or Enterprise plan can use the connection. (Admin role is not required to use it.)
  • You must also be a licensed user of a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, or Enterprise account.
  • Note: Using the connection requires individual authentication to ensure your personal permissions are respected in both tools.

What data is available in this ChatGPT connection?

  • The ChatGPT connection is only available for TikTok data, specifically for published insights and post performance metrics. 

How can a Sprout Admin enable the connection?

A Sprout Admin can disable the ChatGPT connection for a group by going to the connection Center in Sprout Social:

Settings > Global Features > AI Features > Toggle to “enabled
