What do I need to know before connecting my Facebook Page?

To connect your Facebook Page to Sprout Social, navigate to Account and settings > Connect a Profile. Then click Connect for Facebook.

To connect a Facebook Business Page, you need to be an Admin with Full Control on the Page natively. You can get assigned a Full Control admin role on a Facebook Page either through a Meta Business Account or getting granted Full Control Page Access directly on the Page.

To check your Meta Business account:

1. Navigate to the following link: https://business.facebook.com/settings
2. Select the Business Account that corresponds to your page.
3. Click Accounts > People, and then select your name. This expands the set of permissions associated with the Page.
   

You can also request that you get invited to the Business Account by navigating to Users > People > Invite People.

If don't have access to the Meta Business Account, this could mean that you were granted Page Access directly. To check this:

1. Open the Page on Facebook and see if you have the option to Switch or Manage the page. If you do have this option, continue with the following steps.
2. Navigate to Page Settings > New Page Experience > Page Access.
3. Ensure you have Full Control under the People with Facebook Access section.
   

If you're unsure of your Admin status, use the following steps to review:

1. Ask another admin of your page to review the settings and assignments for this page within Meta Business Suite.
2. Instruct them to select the corresponding Business Account and locate the page under Account > Pages in the left sidebar, and then view the Page Access assigned.

3. Ensure that you are granted Full Control > Everything with your Page Access permissions. If you aren't listed as a user under Page Access, have them invite you to the Meta Business Account and assign you access to the page.
4. Instruct them to add your email address, and then follow the prompt to add you to the Business Account. They can grant Full Control (Everything) to the Meta Business Account itself if they wish to grant you further administrative access. Otherwise, ensure that they're providing you with Full Control (Everything) when assigning the page to you as a Business Asset.   
5. Open the email from Facebook to accept the invitation.
