Bit.ly FAQ

Should I add UTM parameters to my links?
Use UTM parameters when you want to attribute website traffic to a campaign, social network, or individual post in analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4. They’re for tracking—not a workaround for creating a different short link.

To learn how to add tracking parameters in Sprout, see How do I use Link Tracking?.

Why do the Bit.ly links I shortened using Sprout look like t.co links in Twitter?

Every link turns into t.co on Twitter. Sprout can still track the original Bit.ly clicks, but the link may look like a t.co in other platforms.
