Influencer Marketing: How do I manage users and user permissions?

Table of Contents

Organization admins can customize the user experience within Sprout Social Influencer Marketing. To access features like sorting users and changing user permissions, click User Icon > Users.

Users

The Users tab allows admins to:

  • Invite users to the organization
  • Assign user roles
  • Grant users permissions
  • Manage users and passwords

Sort users

As an admin, you can sort through users using a variety of filters including All, Pending, Active and Blocked.

Invite users

1. Click the Users tab and click + Invite User.

2. Enter the emails of the users you want to invite. You can add multiple users at once by adding a comma in between multiple email addresses in the Email Address box.

3. You can include an optional welcome message by clicking Personalize email message. Then click Invite.

4. Invitees will receive an email from Sprout Social Influencer Marketing Media prompting them to join.

If users don't receive an email from Sprout Social Influencer Marketing Media, ask them to check their spam folder after the invite is sent.

*The above example doesn't include a welcome message.

Assign permissions

Once users are invited to log in, admins can assign users specific permissions.

If no role is assigned, the invited users will be able to view profiles only.

To assign new users a role:

1. Click on the user and select from the following options:

  • Manager - This role has full access to campaigns and can manage user roles within that campaign.
  • Editor - Users can edit the campaign but aren’t able to manage roles for other users.
  • Viewer - Users can only view campaigns but aren’t able to manage other user roles.
  • No Organization Role - A view-only role, this is typically reserved for admins that want to create groups of users in their organization.
  • Organization Admin - Ability to manage an organization’s users and teams, as well as full access to all campaigns.

An organization can have multiple admins.

Influencer Marketing automatically assigns user rights for the entire organization. If you don't want to make any changes, you can skip this step when assigning permissions to new users.

Teams and campaigns

To see which team or campaign a user is assigned to, click Teams or Campaigns. You’ll only see data displayed here if it’s applicable to the organization and/or user.

Force user password change or block user

You can force a password change or block a user by clicking the ellipsis (three dots) in the upper-right corner and clicking either Force Password Change or Block.
