Influencer Marketing: What information is in the Details tab of a profile?

A profile’s Details tab shows public information like the profile’s location, category and connected social handles as well as details like if you’ve added a mailing address or custom fields. 

How do I merge profiles?

If a creator has two profiles on Influencer Marketing, you can merge the profiles to bring data from both of their handles into one profile. Click the ellipsis and click Merge Profile.

How do I refresh a profile? 

Profiles are refreshed on a schedule as a result of the connected APIs and the information you see may not always be up to date. You can run a refresh to see a profile’s most recent data.  

To run a refresh:

  1. Click the ellipsis.
  2. Click Refresh Profile. This collects the most recent data from the linked platform APIs including creator content and Influencer Marketing-calculated metrics that accompany the content.

Basic information

The Basic Information section contains essential information about a profile and can be found in the Details tab of a profile. You can update or edit this information by clicking the relevant fields and any changes made in this section are visible to all users. The Basic Information section contains the following details:

  • Location - Influencer Marketing uses an array of autonomous signals to determine profile location.
    • Occasionally, the profile location may be inaccurate or outdated. Click Location to update this information.
  • Gender - Choose the selected profile's gender if applicable. Gender selection is unavailable for profiles marked as a brand.
  • Profile Type and Category - Choose a Profile Type and subsequent Category for the selected profile.
  • Profile Name - Update the profile name. 

Social platforms

In the Social Platforms section, you can add or edit social handles to a profile.

To add or edit a platform:

  1. Click Add Platform.
  2. Choose the platform you want to add or edit:
    • Instagram
    • YouTube
    • X
    • Facebook
    • TikTok
    • Snapchat
    • LinkedIn
    • Twitch
    • Pinterest
    • Website
  3. Copy and paste the full URL of the social profile into the Link field.

  1. Click Add.

Third-party authorization status

The About tab also displays the account authorization status for both Instagram and YouTube. To determine authorization status, Influencer Marketing uses the following color-coded system:

  • Instagram 
    • Red - the selected profile is not an Instagram Business/Creator Account.
    • Yellow - the selected profile is a Business/Creator Account but is not authorized.
    • Green - the selected profile is a Business/Creator and is authorized. 
  • YouTube 
    • Red - the selected profile is not authorized.
    • Green - the selected profile is authorized and provides additional access to YouTube post metrics within campaigns.

Organization Defaults

Organization Defaults, like the selected profile's bio, appear in the left-hand panel. You can customize cells within Organization Defaults and changes are only reflected within your organization.

You can customize the following information within an organization:

  • Photo - Add a custom avatar photo for the selected profile. Add a photo to update the profile photo within the Agency Portal, Collaborator Portal and Report Builder
  • Email Address - Add an email address for the selected profile.
    • If this information is publicly available over the connected APIs, Influencer Marketing automatically populates this information for all users.
    • To edit a creator’s email, click the email section. Changes are only visible to other users within the same organization. Editing the email address changes the email for the creator in new campaigns, but won't change any existing campaigns.
  • Mailing Address  - Add a mailing address to a creator's profile.
    • This information is only available to members of your organization.
  • Bio - Add or edit the biography that appears on the left-hand side of the profile. Edits made to a profile's bio are only visible to members within your organization.

Profile custom field information

You can create custom fields and edit them in the Custom Fields section of your organization settings. Custom fields are located below the organization default elements and allow you to track information that’s not usually captured using the default options. 

There are seven unique types of custom fields available:

  • Small Textbox
  • Large Textbox
  • Dropdown
  • Multi-select Dropdown
  • Date
  • Attachment
  • Number
