This article contains the following sections:

Permissions needed to connect an Ad Account

To connect an ad account, an Organization Admin have access to the relevant Facebook Ad Account(s). Meta Business Manager administrators can grant access on an individual basis.

The only access required for the Influencer Marketing Organization Admin within the Ad Account is View performance.

Allowing access to view performance only enables the ability to view the performance reports of paid media posts and content associated with that post. This access is view-based, which means Influencer Marketing users can't change or run ads from the ad account.

After the appropriate account permissions are obtained, Influencer Marketing Organization Admins can connect the Meta Ad Account(s) with Influencer Marketing via Organization Settings.

Connect an ad account

To connect an ad account:

1. Select the User Icon in the Navigation Bar, and then select Integration.

2. Click Meta Advertising.

3. Click Add Ad Account.

4. Confirm account ownership.

5. Enable Access to Facebook ads and related stats, and then click Done.

6. Select the ad account(s) you want to connect to Influencer Marketing. Click Confirm.

Paid media tokens expire after 60 days. Seven days before expiration, the user who initially connected  Influencer Marketing with the Meta Ad Account receives a notification about the pending expiration.

To ensure there's no interruption, the Organization Admin needs to verify ownership of the account to refresh the token.

Add Paid Media Posts to a Campaign Summary

You can add paid media posts to the Campaign Summary by:

1. Navigating to the Campaign Summary tab.

2. Click Add Content at the top of the view.

3. Click Paid Media Ad, and then search for the associated Creator or Brand using the Find Profile box.

Influencer Marketing provides flexibility to include ads associated with Creators or brands within the Campaign Summary. To add a boosted Creator post to the Campaign Summary, select that Creator's Profile. To add a post promoted by a brand handle, select that brand Profile.

If many ads exist within the ad account, use Influencer Marketing's various sort and filter solutions to locate relevant ads.

Add publication date ranges to hone in on particular ad accounts, ad campaigns, or ad sets.

Finally, use Influencer Marketing's search box to look for the name of the ad within the ad account or the copy used in the ad itself.

You can add Dark Posts, or ads that appear in the newsfeeds of a selected set of users and nowhere else, using the same method.

Once you find an ad, select the content card to view more information about that specific post.

Select Ad Details to view the ad metrics associated with the post:

  • Ad Name

  • Ad Set

  • Ad Campaign

Select multiple posts using the multi-select box in the upper left of the content thumbnail. Select the desired posts to add to the Campaign Summary and click Add.

When adding more than one round of Paid Media Ads within the Campaign Summary, click  Add Another to go back to this page instead of the Campaign Summary page.

Ads appear in the Content section toward the bottom of the Campaign Summary. Distinguish ads from other influencer posts by looking for a small $ symbol within the Content Cards.

If you use mixed placement to promote ads, and the same ad was promoted across, Facebook and Instagram, you'll see the same ad twice in the content section. The corresponding platform logo is located next to the Paid Media Indicator. This feature visualizes performance across all contexts where the ad was promoted.
