Influencer Marketing: How can creators create TikTok Branded Content using TikTok Creator Marketplace?
Table of Contents
As a badged TikTok Marketing Partner, Sprout Social Influencer Marketing has exclusive access to TikTok’s Creator Marketplace API. This ensures that your creators' TikTok posts and influencer marketing campaigns are always officially branded.
How does it work?
Give your creators a unique URL called TikTok Invite Links to upload up to 10 videos in a dedicated experience created by the TikTok team.
Prior to May 2023, ad account authentication was required to use the TikTok Creator Marketplace integration. This is no longer needed. You can add TikTok creators to your Campaign and begin outreach immediately.
TikTok Invite Links
Within your Campaign, select the creator you want to work with and send a message with the Invite Link.
Each influencer in a Campaign gets a unique link that only they can use. Clicking the Invite Link won't work if the creator is logged in to a TikTok account that's different from the one that the Invite Link was generated for.
If you have planned TikTok drafts, we suggest sending the link right after you hire a creator. Invite Links also work for creators who are not yet part of the Creator Marketplace.
We strongly advise against including any giveaways, log-in rewards, or similar content in branded posts as this goes against TikTok’s fraud and scam policies. Publishing such content could result in a permanent ban for a creator’s account.
Once you send the link to the creator, they have to click the Invite Link and follow the steps outlined by TikTok. Creators will be redirected to the TikTok app to:
- Approve the terms and conditions of using TikTok Creator Marketplace
- Upload their video
At this point, the branded content toggle will automatically turn on in the creator’s app.
Adding more posts within the same Campaign
Once you’ve established a partnership with a creator, adding more posts to the campaign will follow different steps.
If the piece of content already exists, the creator has to:
- Navigate to the piece of content.
- Click the three dots icon in the bottom right corner and click Ad settings.
- Enable Disclose post content and choose Branded content.
- Click Select in the Brand partnership section.
- Choose the appropriate partnership and click Link campaign.
If the piece of content doesn't exist yet, the creator has to:
- Create the piece of content as they normally would.
- Navigate to Content disclosure and ads.
- Enable Disclose post content and choose Branded content.
- Click Select in the Brand partnership section.
- Choose the appropriate partnership and click Link campaign.
- Confirm changes and publish.
