Troubleshooting your Instagram account with Influencer Marketing

There are some connection errors you might encounter when setting up your Instagram account with Influencer Marketing. This article provides insights about those errors.

Permissions error

You might not have selected the permissions needed to complete the process. 

Facebook Page access is missing

Make sure to select the permission to give Influencer Marketing data about your Facebook Page. 

The Instagram account doesn't match the Facebook Page

When choosing Instagram and Facebook accounts, you chose accounts that aren't linked together. Make sure the Instagram account you want to connect matches the Facebook Page.

Instagram account access wasn't granted

Choose the appropriate permissions to enable Influencer Marketing to access data about your Instagram account. 

The selected Facebook Page doesn’t have a linked Instagram account

You can only connect an Instagram account that has a linked Facebook Page. 

The connection with Facebook was lost

You might have accidentally closed the Facebook window before finishing. Make sure to click OK on the last step to keep the connection.

What if my connection still won't work?

If any of the above troubleshooting doesn't resolve your issue, starting over might do the trick. Navigate to Settings Business Integrations from your Facebook Account (not Page settings) and remove Influencer Marketing from your Integrations. Then, you can reset and restart the Facebook Connection flow.
